Fairview PD December Incident Report Details
Incidents 17150257 and 17150275: 12/12/2017 9:41 pm 121 E Stacy Rd., Fairview (Dillard’s Department Store). Two pregnant females, ages 33 and 27 were arrested for shoplifting. They stole Armani brand clothing. The 27 year old stole 5 items totaling $345, the 33 year old stole five items totaling $262. The reporting person (RP) advised there were two females who appeared to be shoplifting. RP advised one female was currently in the store and the second was sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. RP said the suspect and accomplice walked in through the west entry at approximately 9:26 pm. RP said he observed the suspect conceal items in her bag via CCTV (Closed Circuit Television). RP witnessed the suspect exit the store through the south exit. Fairview PD informed that one was booked at Medical City McKinney, the other was filed at large because she was too far along in her pregnancy.
Incident 17148998: 12/10/2017 at approximately 1:57am at Central Expressway/E. Stacy Rd., Fairview. Offences Public Intoxication and DWI (3rd or more). (Remarks from the Media Report) Officer Ross #8621 observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 block of Stacy Rd. The vehicle did not have its headlamps illuminated at night, as required by TC 547.302 (Duty to Display Lights). Ofc. Ross #8621 initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle after it turned northbound from the 100 block of Stacy Rd. onto the northbound service road of US 75. Ofc. Ross # 8621 made contact with the driver, (male 6/7/1989) and smelled a moderate odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Ofc. Ross #8621 administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to the driver who was not able to complete them satisfactorily. Based on the totality of the circumstances, including the driver’s failure to display headlights, along with additional driving behaviors and his performance on the SFST's , and other factors, the driver was placed under arrest for the offense of driving while intoxicated. The driver was transported to Medical City McKinney for a consensual blood draw and then was transported to Collin County Detention Center where he was booked in without incident. The driver was also issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle with an expired driver license. The passenger of the vehicle was released at the scene after being issued a citation for public intoxication.
