Fairview PD Incident Report Details - January 2018

Incident 18004049: 01/10/2018 1:06am at 800 S. State Hwy 5, Fairview. Offences: Unlawful carrying weapons and DWI (1st offense). Society is listed as the victim. The person arrested is a 21 year old male, resident of McKinney. Regarding the weapons, PD remarks inform it was a black 9MM handgun was located in a hidden compartment to the right of the steering wheel and in front of the driver’s seat, behind a panel. Regarding the ammo, PD remarks inform 17 rounds 9MM Luger hollow point (black magazine with firearm out of mag well). PD remarks, “…initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing it fail to signal its intent to enter the roadway from a parked position, fail to maintain a single lane, and driving on the improved shoulder, while traveling northbound in or about the 800 block of State Highway 5. (Officer) smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on the driver and observed he had slurred speech and diminished gross motor skills, including difficulty standing without swaying and walking without staggering. (Officer) administered SFST's to the driver and he was unable to complete them satisfactorily. A handgun was located in the vehicle, near the driver seat, and was possessed by the driver while engaged in criminal activity, specifically while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The driver consented to give a blood sample and the sample was collected at Medical City McKinney. The driver was then transported to the Collin County Detention Center where he was booked in on the charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.”

Incident 18004855: 01/12/2001 16:15 at 105 E Stacy Rd., Fairview (Whole Foods). PD remarks: On Thursday, January, 11, 2018 at approximately 4:40 p.m., (Officer) was dispatched to 105 E Stacy Road, Fairview, TX 75069 (Whole Food's Market) for a theft report.” The reporting party, a Fairview resident, was on scene and stated someone stole her black wallet out of her purse and made fraudulent transactions at the Best Buy and Dick's Sporting Goods off of Stacy Road, Allen TX 75002. Items listed as stolen are a driver’s license, two cards, two items valued at $80 and one item valued at $65. The unknown suspect is described as a male, between 40-55 years old, height 66”-68” and weight 160-190 pounds. This was erroneously listed as a “Theft from a person, human corpse or grave”, it was just a theft.

Incident 18009378: 01/21/2018 16:35 in the 5000 block of Worthy Way (Sorrel Fairview Apartments), Fairview. Offences: Theft $1500/$20,000 Stolen items are listed as (1) gold jewel valued at $3,800, (1) gold jewel valued at $5,200, (1) white jewel valued at $875, (1) Movado white jewel valued at $1,995, (1) red Gucci item valued at $500 and (1) Playstation valued at $400. The unknown suspect is described as male, between 30-40 years old, height 5’10”-6’02” and weight 180-200 pounds.
