The first goal for Willow Springs came in the 4th minute when Abhi Rajaiyan broke away down the left side of the field and beat the goalie to give WSMS the 1-0 lead. Chris Dismukes extended the lead to 2-0 in the 18th minute perfectly bending a corner kick into the back of the net unassisted. Less than three minutes later Cooper scored their first goal of the game and then tied the game 2-2 in the 25th minute.

The Patriots would add the eventual game winner with a minute remaining in the first half to take a 3-2 lead into halftime. The Leopards continued to battle in the second half and had several quality chances to time the game, including a header off the crossbar, but were unable to find the net in the second period leading to the loss 3-2. After the game head coach Ian Keeble said  "We got up 2-0 and got comfortable then made three mistakes and paid for it." With the athletes moving up next year Keeble noted "I look forward to working with this group at the high school level."
