Seventh Grade Boys Soccer Dominates Cooper In Season Finale

The 7th grade team from Willow Springs wasted no time in getting on the board scoring the first goal less than 20 seconds into the game. The Leopards started the game with possession and masterfully worked the ball down the field with Joey Hansford netting the eventual game winner on an assist from Hunter Reck. Willow Springs kept the pressure on the Patriots scoring again in the 5th minute when Will Drescher scored on an assist from Caden Carlock to make it 2-0. The Leopards continued to extend their lead in the first half with Joey Hansford (Connor Nowak assist) making it 3-0 in 8th minute and George Salcedo (Caden Carlock assist) extending the lead to 4-0 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half.

Strong defense and quality play in the goal from Matthew Huettner and John Brookhart proved too much for Cooper as the Leopards cruised to a 4-1 win over the Patriots. Willow Springs ended the season with a 4-2-1 record.
