264 residents filled the ballroom (including the stage) at Heritage Ranch in Fairview for this very popular event. Regarding the high attendance, Eric Hoyle, Heritage Ranch Community Events Director said, “This is the second largest recurring event in attendance at Heritage Ranch. Our concert series held from January thru May boasts around 350 each month in attendance.” Trivia night is held every other month. Teams are formed by either friendships and/or people who live on the same block.

Because this event is so popular, tables were set up on the stage to accommodate the teams.

Hoyle admitted to tossing out a softball for the first question of the night: “What seaport name is Spanish for white house?” The answer: Casablanca. Question two was a bit trickier: “How many dice are used in a standard game of backgammon?” Answer: Three (including the doubling cube). The third question was: What is the slot on the back of an arrow shaft called that keeps the arrow on the bowstring? One team didn’t come up with the correct answer, which is ‘nock’, but they drew a great diagram. (Perhaps this team might enjoy a game of Pictionary?) The question under the category ‘Unreal Real Estate’ was “What TV title character lived at 485 Mapleton Dr., Mayfield?” When the correct answer of ‘Beaver Cleaver’ was given, applause and shouts of correct-answer celebration rang out across the room. Hoyle said his favorite question was: What do the letters WD stand for in WD-40? His favorite answers were “Walt Disney” and “Well Done”. However, the correct answer is Water Displacement.

LC Magic is Back came in first place. Each team member received a $50 gift card to The Keg restaurant. Hoyle said, “This team used to come regularly, but with life happening this is the first time in almost two years that the original team was together.” Stacy Road Dodgers came in second, each team member received a $35 gift card to Bonefish Grill.
