Summer In Full Swing At Leopard Baseball Camp

    For the third consecutive year, Lovejoy head baseball coach Jason Wilson hosted a baseball camp for players in 1st through 9th grades. The camps, held June 4th-7th at Lovejoy HS, included about 90 participants in grades 1st-6th and approximately 40 participants in grades 7th-9th. The camp focused on skills including base running, throwing, catching, hitting and fielding and also included the fundamentals of Leopard baseball offense and defensive strategy. Coach Wilson stated the main goals of the camp is "to have fun, enjoying the game while playing with their friends and learning the basics of baseball." Each day the kids participated in stations that taught the basics skills and then at the end of the day the kids participated in scrimmages to put in practice what they learned.
