Strong Defense And Trick Plays Lead To Win For JV Leopards
Frisco Memorial started the game with the ball and the Lovejoy defense quickly set the tone forcing a punt after three plays. On the first offensive play the Leopards took the lead with the quarterback lateraling to his wide receiver who then found a wide open Reid Westervelt for a touchdown. The Lovejoy defense again held strong forcing a punt and again the Leopards dipped into their bag of tricks scoring on a flea flicker with the running back tossing back the ball to the quarterback who again found an open receiver for the touchdown. Lovejoy never looked back overwhelming Frisco Memorial with a stout defense and continuing to add to their score for a final of 42-0.
